TestFile is Merula's computer based testing program, which is able to test a candidate's knowledge in any subject using a wide range of question types. Questions can be custom written by either ourselves, or by the client. The current types of question supported include:

Multiple choice questions
Multiple response questions
Assertion / reason questions
Matching block questions

Tests can be taken in revision mode where the candidate is given a number of attempts to get the correct answer. After those attempts the correct answer is given, along with a reference for further information. Alternatively the test can be taken in "timed test" mode where the candidate must answer as many questions as possible within a fixed time limit.

To assist training further, the candidate's score on the first attempt of each test is recorded for future appraisal with a trainer. These stored results can be analysed at any stage by the trainer using the trainer software supplied.
